Editor config, text formatting and naming styles in Visual Studio 2019

Wed, 10 Jul 2019 14:14 UTC

You can manage naming styles using settings under:

Tools > Options > Text Editor > C# > Code Style

Once you have set up code formatting and naming styles as required, you can export them to an editor.config file which you can keep in your solution directory so that the same settings are loaded wherever the solution is loaded. Editor config files are not Visual Stdio specific so should be portable to other IDEs.
